Baking Again

The girls will be sleeping over again. The cold weather is just not so good for their house. Hehe, I love it, but it will be remedied soon. Oh well.

This time they are making banana bread with their mom, Ashley.

  • They are so sweet…as sweet as the banana bread after Ash finally added sugar

It was heartwarming to watch them carrying on the tradition of cooking/baking and talking about the happenings of the day.  I stood by quietly and took it all in and took the pics too.

Ashley luckily tasted the batter prior to baking and realized it was blah and lacking the most important part…sugar.  I reminded her not to eat raw batter…once a mother always a mother.  Thank goodness she never listens to me or we would have had one lacking banana bread that would have been better for my Keto diet.

Delicious Dip Making

We had our annual pumpkin carving party.  Prior to the party, the girls came to the house to help me put out the pickings and prepare the dip.

I chose a dip that is easy to make so the girls could be hands on, not to mention. it is delicious and always a hit using very few ingredients.

We begin by adding the cream cheese to the casserole dish and microwaving it for a few seconds so it is easily spread.

Then we added the chili.  We used canned turkey chili but you can use your own recipe, bean chili, beef chili etc. etc.

Next the shredded cheese.

Next we added a “pepper spider” ( See if you can find the spider on the finished product)  The girls worked really hard on putting him together.  Microwave and serve with tortilla chips.

Hint –  the spider is orange with a white kinda spider web.

May not look so good, but sure is tasty and spooky! It’s always a go to and always a hit.
