Welcoming a Grandma💙

Update Below!!!!

One of the best thing about being a grandma is knowing the unconditional love you have towards your grandchildren and they have towards you. You can say the words to another but you can never really explain the feeling.

Another special part of being a grandma is welcoming your good friend into this special bond. I recently found out my friend from high school who has become family was becoming a grandma. This for me is such a wonderful feeling and yet another special bonding to add to our friendship.

I can only tell her how special this time of her life will be. She has wanted this for a while and it being quite unexpected has made this very surreal for her right now.

I know she will be a special grandma, nona, nana, oma or whatever she wishes to be called. It is not the name but what is in the heart.

I see the love in her eyes when she is with my grandchildren and I can’t wait to meet the new little one. He or she will be welcomed into our “family” with open arms. Here’s to you, my friend.

This beautiful woman, my dear friend, has joined the Gia’s sisterhood on March 25th. Her daughter, Kristen and SIL Ryan, had a beautiful baby boy, Paxton. Paxton is very handsome and will be welcomed into a loving family. They are all truly blessed. Congratulations!! Can’t wait to meet you💙

Baking Again

The girls will be sleeping over again. The cold weather is just not so good for their house. Hehe, I love it, but it will be remedied soon. Oh well.

This time they are making banana bread with their mom, Ashley.

  • They are so sweet…as sweet as the banana bread after Ash finally added sugar

It was heartwarming to watch them carrying on the tradition of cooking/baking and talking about the happenings of the day.  I stood by quietly and took it all in and took the pics too.

Ashley luckily tasted the batter prior to baking and realized it was blah and lacking the most important part…sugar.  I reminded her not to eat raw batter…once a mother always a mother.  Thank goodness she never listens to me or we would have had one lacking banana bread that would have been better for my Keto diet.
