Celebrating 40 years with this wonderful man. I love you and all you do for me and our family. You have been a supportive, calming (I needed that) partner for all these years.
Wondering where all the years have gone, but grateful I have spent them with you.
Forty years and never a fight. If you believe that, you don’t know what it takes to work a marriage.
Through thick and thin, in sickness and health, hey days and ney days, you will always have my heart. β€
In the wee hours of the morning we added an adorable baby boy to our already blessed grandfamily of two beautiful little princesses.
The new little one took his time in making his appearance and was delivered at 2:11 am at 7lbs 9ounces. Congratulations, Gina and Ricky and River Daniel. You will surely be loved by all.
Bet they can’t wait to meet their baby cousin even though they wanted another girl. My hope,as a grandma, is that they will always be there for each other.ππ π
Congratulations to Ava for moving on to 1st grade.
If you will remember, she started off kindergarten kicking and crying and she left “Ava”β€ style, crying and sad. This time instead of missing her momma she will be missing her 4th grade friends!
After sitting at the laptop all day, I decided to take a walk with who else, Tuckie.
We headed out into the mucky humidity because I really needed to walk. The park smelled the musky smell of weeds and the fragrant smell of flowers The sounds of the water flowing and birds singing finally relaxing my soul. πΎπΏβ
For no reason other than I cannot shut off the negativity in my brain that easily, Because it was so gray and the air so close, I began thinking about lurking coyotes or foxes and exactly what I would do to protect Tuckie and myself. All the talk in the news of these animals attacking, had me imagining the worse.
Luckily, I was distracted by a man sitting crossed legged, meditating on a park bench. Seeing another human being grounded me again. But many people weren’t walking due to the impending rain.
It began to drizzle, then rain and then downpour. I loved it. It was so freeing reminding me of my younger years when rain would not put a damper on a walk with friends. The time when you are so carefree, you don’t give a damn. I watched as the drops polka dotted my shirt and then covered my shirt until there was not a dry spot.
I finally made it back to the car swinging the leash and skipping (ok not really) bug it felt like I was. I was relaxed and happier than when I began. Tuckie, not so much. This Doxie doesn’t like the rain.
She did it and we are all very proud of her. We celebrated by attending her graduation ceremony.
It seems like only yesterday she began her Kindergarten experience. If you remember, it was a difficult start. From hissy fits, hangings on, packing up and leaving during the middle of class to boy friends (she confirms with a grin) to friend drama (yes already).
She made it through the hard times of letting go and came through a very mature five year old who survived the Kindergarten blues with love and support from the “village.” God bless Mrs. Caruso.
We love you Ava and look forward to your college graduation. Well, I hope that doesn’t fly by.
