Flu Time-When you’re just not up for School

I am blessed to live near enough to my grandchildren to be able to spend time with them very often.

I watch Liv two, half days a week. Today I had the pleasure of having both of Ava and Liv. Ava was recovering from the flu (yes, she had the flu shot). Perhaps it lessened the symptoms, but still took its course. She should be returning to school soon.

A few feathers, pearl’s and poster paint go a long way. Oh yeah, and the glue…the fav part, especially for Liv. She enjoys playing with it. Who am I to judge? I remember putting a thin layer of Elmer’s all over my hands, letting it dry and my fav part, peeling it off. Oh the memories.

Since I had both princesses, we decide to make paper crowns and wands. These were made from craft stuff I had from previous crafts.

Here they are showing off their crowns.

Countdown to new Grandbaby

When my daughter was pregnant with my first granddaughter, she gifted me with a  countdown to grandbaby calendar.   She is great at picking out meaningful gifts.  I loved this gift and am now using it for the third time.

143 days! Yay!

They will find out the sex of the baby soon, but it won’t be revealed until the end of the month.  Excited to find out.  I wonder what my grand girls will want.  Probably a girl to play dolls and dress up with.

I believe this item is currently out of stock, but included it so you can checkout some reviews.

All you pregnant women out there wanting a way to tell someone you are having a baby, I think this is a great way to do so.

Will keep you posted.

Glam Liv

No worries, basically, lol powder on brush

Livie wanted to put on some makeup so a little blush, lip gloss and perfume. Gorgeous ready for the day.(She really didn’t need any help)

Wow, the one in the background needs a lil more on that brush.

Tent Time

In preparation for the storms predicated in the northeast, my ingenious daughter and SIL decided to pitch a tent in their living room.

They filled the tent with three blow up mattresses and were planning a sleep out in their living room. Did I mention the girls love a good sleep over.

Judging by these pics, it was a very large tent which took up a portion of their living room.

They not only used the tent for a house, but also as a stage for what else, …Frozen, Elsa and Ana.

The Disney on Ice, Frozen, show really did bring Elsa and Ana front and center again. How appropriate a snow storm and Frozen production.

Our Ana
Ana again, singing
And there is our Elsa.

I heard they had a really, really, really fun time. Mom and dad weren’t as lucky, they both had backaches to to contend with.

The weather in our area wasn’t as bad as predicted, but I’m sure the girls can’t wait for more snowy weather.

This post is a little late; but had to share.

No heat, Gia’s surprise treat

In this frigid weather, the heating system in the girls home was not working properly ….so sleep over at our house! Yay.

Tucker is happy to be a part of it

In our spare time we baked this delicious cake beautifully decorated by Ava and Liv.

In Liv’s words, it was yummy.

I love sleepovers and unexpected surprises.

All snuggled in

Gias being Gias again with Pops

We’ve returned from our 1st annual Grandmas convention. It was a fun time and I’m sure the 2nd convention will be planned. We will, undoubtedly, be adding additional Gias and Pops to the group and I can’t wait. The more the merrier.

Here we are enjoying dinner

It was a byo restaurant. We arrived to the restaurant in two taxis. The first taxi was carrying a cooler with the goods..beer and wine. Unfortunately, the first taxi left with the goods. Fortunately, the second taxi had backups and fortunately, we were able to recover the missing cooler from a sleeping taxi driver.

We all took our side trips, but I’m sure we will all find our way back to our grandchildren.

Until next year or 1/2 year. You can have 1/2 year conventions, right. Love ya all.

Gias with Gias and Pops too

Today we are at our first annual Gias convention. All eight of us.I am here with three other grandmothers, various monikers, of course.

Can you guess where we sre

We will be discussing our grandchildren, children, while at the pool, gambling, tequila shots and much, much more as the night progresses at dinner, dancing and casino

All of us have been blessed with beautiful grandchildren with whom we probably rather be with, but it is important to have adult conversation just as it was as we were growing our children. They, whoever, they may have been, said “take care of yourself first so you can take care of the rest”

I had trouble doing that in my thirties and raising my own, but love the luxury of knowing my grandchildren are in good hands and I can be taking care of myself and pops for the rest of the week.

To the grandchildren we left behind, we love, miss you and will be well rested so we can get down on the floor to play. Yay
