Today we were suppose to be doing an early Mother’s Day celebration at a restaurant to be hosted by my cousin, Trice and her boyfriend, Bill. I thought it was a great idea to celebrate on Saturday. Perfect, my kids could celebrate with their other moms’ in a relaxing way on Mother’s Day and I could head down the shore.
Unbeknownst to me and my husband we were in for the surprise of our lives. We walked into the restaurant right on time and were greeted by a big “surprise” from friends and family. Hmm, I couldn’t have birthed all these people.
We were dumbfounded by what occassion we were being surprised for.
I tout myself on being a great detective. NOT!
You see, we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary at the end of June. Due to unpredictable circumstances, umm, a grandbaby coming sometime in June, my daughter decided Mother’s Day would be the perfect diversion.
Well it worked, because did I mention how awestruck we were. Kudos Ashley!

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful family, my family I would have chosen as friends and my friends who I consider family! Love you all so much!

Rick, I love you and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Don’t think 40 years of marriage is by any means an easy undertaking especially with me..haha. It takes work and some wondeful rollercoaster ups and downs, but honey it was worth the ride. More tickets, please. Love you always.
